What is NLP?

N.L.P.  or Neuro-Linguistic Programming, has been called 'the science of success' since it's founders,  John Grindler and Richard Bandler, began observing leaders in different fields. Together, they analysed the communication styles that they used, nuances in their mannerisms, and their specific use of language. Through their observations they noticed that the way that they interacted with others could be copied to create patterns. They began to delve deeper, and understood that in the same way that our brain learns certain patterns of behaviour, they could also unlearn them in cases where they created stumbling blocks from working at optimum efficiency. They used different patterns of communication and behaviour to ultimately create techniques to help individuals create change in their lives, using their own unique preferences. They understood, that rather than a 'one-size fits all' approach to understanding ourselves and those around us, we need to learn what type of interaction literally 'speaks' to different individuals.

NLP is a short term approach which helps us to achieve our goals.

N.L.P stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and combines these three elements to help us create change. "Neuro" -  refers to neurology or how our brain functions; Linguistic refers to language, but also encompasses body language and mannerisms; programming refers to how that neural language functions, i.e our behaviour. In other words, learning NLP is like learning the language of our own mind!

Imagine being able to press re-set on our memories, to change limiting beliefs into strenghthening beliefs.

The human mind does not differentiate between what is real or imagined. Often what we believe to be true is our own perception. By changing our perceptions, we change how we relate to past events and ultimately how we cope with our daily challenges.

You will learn how to connect to your clients through rapport and specific language. The course covers a wide-range of techniques, and you will learn how to diagnose which technique is appropriate for the specific needs of your client. You will learn how to anchor, how to apply strategies to help increase motivation in your client, and how to use language to create images to help your clients heal from childhood traumas.

What else will I learn?

In addition to qualifiying as a NLP Practitioner, you will also qualify as a Guided Imagery Therapist (more details of the topics learnt available                 )  and learn Time Line Therapy™ (TLT). This is a powerful therapeutic process that combines hypnosis and NLP, developed by Tad James, PhD in the 1980s. It was developed by applying a therapeutic process to the concept that we store our memories in a linear manner in an internal memory storage system. When we access this line, we can change our perception of our own personal history.
